Dr. Tushar Patil is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Wardha, Maharashtra. He is attached to the Acharya Vinoba Bhave Rural Hospital and can also be consulted at Sushrusha Nagpur Superspeciality Clinic in Chandrapur. The Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College is affiliated to Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University).

In practice as a Consultant Neurologist since 2014, Dr. Tushar Patil is an alumnus of Government Medical College, Nagpur (for the MBBS and MD Internal Medicine degrees) and King George's Medical University, Lucknow (for the DM Neurology superspeciality degree).

Since August 2014, Dr. Tushar Patil has been based at Wardha, where he teaches undergraduates and residents of Internal Medicine at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Acharya Vinoba Bhave Rural Hospital, while also treating patients at the hospital and at his clinic. For three years prior to that he was Senior Resident in Neurology at King George's Medical University in Lucknow. From Aug 2010 to Jan 2011 he was Senior Resident, Internal Medicine, at MNR Medical College & Hospital, Sangareddy, Andhra Pradesh (now in Telengana). Earlier, he completed his one-year Internship (post-MBBS) and three-year Junior Residency (during the postgraduate MD programme) at Government Medical College & Hospital, Nagpur.
